Print of the Day - The Italian Bride - "The Honeymoon is Over"

The Italian Bride - "The Honeymoon is Over" - I'd like all of you to meet the Italian Bride of Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn, New York. As the story is told, she was buried in her wedding dress; I suspect, within reason, the one that is shown. Her name does escape me at the moment, but I'm sure that someone in my audience will either know it, or can stop by and report back.
Anyway, this first shot was taken on my old Olympus point and shoot about 5 years ago. A more recent pose is featured below.

Whew....I didn't mean to feature her aging process, but there's no escaping the effects of the big city that she currently resides in. If anyone nearby can get permission, please do feel free to give our darling girl a good scrubbing. Time and time again this happens with disastrous results, and it would certainly be a shame for this wonderful statue to deteriorate any further jeopardizing her strength and continuity.
