Overcoming Life

Sitting on a pile of garbage but yet still smiling. Our Mr. Pumpkin is going out in style. He doesn't know it yet, but there's a dump truck just around the turn in the distance coming his way. Anyway, several lessons were made quite obvious to this weary wanderer at the time.


One, within that precious life that I have become witness to, I'll not let adversity get the better of me. I would rise to the top, one way or another, in the end, the only way I know....smiling.


Two, I wasn't going out bitter and dejected, I was going to go beaming from ear to ear. I was going to leave something for the future to remember me by...my Legacy:) As Hob Gadling once said, "you're not dead until the last person that remembers you dies." In that case, I was damn well going to live a thousand years if I could help it!
